From a peninsula to a central island
This kitchen in Homestead traded its granite peninsula for a central island with seating for four. The new layout clears the walkway, adds work surface and places the sink on the island, facing the rest of the home.
Flat, handle-free high-gloss cabinets contrast with the black, white-veined stone that covers the countertop, the backsplash and the range hood. Built-in ovens, a panel-ready refrigerator and a lit corner pantry keep everything within reach and out of sight. Warm LED lighting under the cabinets and at the base of the island completes the look.
